A reason to promote every few weeks

Black Friday gets all the attention, but it’s only one of several major holidays between Halloween and New Year’s. Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving weekend, the December holidays and the year-end close all give shoppers a reason to buy, and give you a reason to run an offer.

Each one is a chance to give shoppers a reason to buy now. But promotions that live only on a homepage slider or in a radio spot miss most online shoppers. A shopper browsing used SUVs at 10 p.m. may never see them. The place they will look is the vehicle photos and inventory listings they’re already scrolling.

Promo Banners and Promo Billboards put your offers right there. Here’s how each works, a calendar of the major holidays through New Year’s, and ideas you can schedule now so your campaigns run on their own through the end of the year.

Two ways to put offers where shoppers look

Promo Banners: offers right on the vehicle photo

Promo Banners are customizable graphic overlays that display your promotional message directly on vehicle images across your website and inventory feeds. You can apply them to the first photo, every photo or specific shots, and target them by new or used, make, model and year, specific VINs or custom filtered lists.

For a busy season, the scheduling is what matters most. Each banner gets a start date and an end date, and expires automatically at midnight PST, so a Black Friday offer never lingers into December. When several promotions overlap, a priority-based filter list makes sure only the highest-priority active banner shows on each vehicle.

Promo Billboards: offers between the listings

Promo Billboards are promotional slides inserted right into your inventory results, alongside the vehicles shoppers are browsing. Instead of interrupting the experience with a pop-up, they show up naturally as shoppers scroll. You upload the billboard, choose which inventory it should appear in (by vehicle type, price segment, make or other attributes), and publish.

Promotion ideas for every holiday

Halloween (Oct 31). A weekend offer on select used inventory is a low-risk way to test your promo setup before the November events.

Veterans Day (Nov 11). Run a billboard promoting military appreciation pricing or any manufacturer military rebates you offer, targeted to new inventory where those incentives apply.

Thanksgiving weekend, Black Friday and Cyber Monday (Nov 26 to 30). Put doorbuster banners on specific aged VINs for the weekend, then switch to a web-only Cyber Monday billboard that gives online shoppers a reason to submit a lead that day.

Holiday season (Dec 1 to 24). Run a holiday sales event banner on targeted models, such as compact SUVs or first cars for new drivers, and use a billboard for winter tires, service specials or gift cards.

Year-end clearance (Dec 26 to 31). Filter new inventory by model year and add a “Last of the 2026s” or “Final days” banner to create urgency before the books close.

New Year’s Day (Jan 1). A New Year sales event catches shoppers who held off during the holidays. A billboard works well here since the message applies across your whole inventory.

Year-round: New Arrival tags. Turn on auto-apply so every newly photographed vehicle gets a “Just arrived” banner for a set number of days, no matter which holiday is running.Keep your listings working all season

From Halloween to New Year’s, every major holiday is a reason to give shoppers a deal. Put those offers on the photos and listings shoppers are already browsing, schedule them in advance, and let them run on their own through the end of the year. FAQs

What holidays should car dealerships run promotions for at the end of the year?

The major ones between Halloween and New Year’s are Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving weekend with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the December holiday season, and year-end clearance leading into New Year’s Day.

When should dealers set up holiday promotions?

Ideally a few weeks before Halloween, and no later than the week before Thanksgiving. Building the full calendar up front with start and end dates means every promotion goes live and expires on its own during the busiest weeks of the year.

What’s the difference between Promo Banners and Promo Billboards?

Promo Banners are overlays placed directly on vehicle photos. Promo Billboards are promotional slides that appear between vehicles in your inventory results. Banners promote specific vehicles; billboards announce broader events and offers.

Can promotions match my dealership’s branding?

Yes. You can upload custom fonts, choose your colors or gradients, and edit banner text to match your brand.
